Tres Birds

Tres Birds was approaching its 20th anniversary, and the significant milestone coincided with the opening of their most prestigious commission, the Art Preserve located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Tres Birds wanted to present the Foundation with a new approach to the typical architectural museum monograph by linking Ruth Kohler's vision and the museum design.

Two example chapters utilizing patron interviews, origin stories, archival images, and the architect's sketchbooks realized the concept. The accompanying book outline demonstrated the full scope of the opportunity to tell Ruth DeYoung Kohler's story.

The book outline has four sections, with example chapters created for RDK's vision and stories. Overall, the outline as a tool helped organize and simplify an immense amount of materials.
